Aude, an area of excellence for the energy transition

Awarded the “Positive Energy Territories for Green Growth” label in 2015, Aude is one of the pioneering departments committed to the energy and ecological transition.

One of its goals is energy autonomy by 2050, with 100% production from renewable sources.

SEPALE, particularly active in the Aude region, contributes to this objective through the mandates entrusted to it by its partners.

The Cers wind farm – successful repowering!

In April 2020, EOS and Alpiq chose SEPALE to support them in the repowering of the Cers Wind Farm.

The Cers Wind Farm, in the communes of Conilhac-Corbières and Escales, was commissioned in 2003. Comprising 10 Jeumont J48 wind turbines, it had a total output of 7.5 MW. These were dismantled and replaced by 5 Enercon 70 2.3 MW wind turbines, doubling production capacity.

Note: 100% of the initial materials (wind turbines, foundations, underground cables, substation equipment) were dismantled and then recovered or recycled via dedicated channels.

SEPALE’S MISSIONS IN A FEW DATES:

In its new format, the Cers Wind Farm has already been widely adopted by local residents, who have made it a point of local point of interest.

3 NEW WIND FARM PROJECTS IN THE LÉZIGNANAIS REGION?

The development of 3 wind farm projects, in the communes of Escales and Conilhac Corbières, Tourouzelle and Montbrun-des-Corbières, marks a new stage with public information events on March 23 and 24, 2022.

These projects are the fruit of collaboration between local cooperative wineries (grouped within SODEL) and EOS.

SEPALE has been entrusted with managing the development of these 3 projects.

COMMUNES OF CRUSCADES AND CANET, 6 WIND TURBINES IN SPRING 2023

Since 2020, SAMFI INVEST has entrusted SEPALE with the construction of the Cruscades et Canet wind farm.

The environmental authorization was obtained in February 2020, and despite an appeal that has now been resolved, the financing and wind turbine supply contract came into force in the last days of 2021.

Site opening is scheduled for autumn 2022, and the following year the 6 turbines will add a further 14 MW of power to the Aude region.

SALLÈLES-D’AUDE, A PHOTOVOLTAIC PARK UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The Aude region has one of the largest solar deposits in France, with the tramontane making a major contribution :-).

On behalf of its partner AMARENCO, SEPALE is developing a photovoltaic park in the commune of Sallèles-d’Aude, in an industrial zone in the immediate vicinity of a power substation.

This 11 MWp project, currently under appraisal, will contribute to the energy diversity so dear to the department.
